Constructor University Rowing Team

From introducing beginners to rowing and fostering new talents to racing against other university teams and taking part in international regattas, the Constructor University Rowing Team shows dedication, discipline, and enthusiasm.

For about 25 years, the Constructor University Rowing Team has closely cooperated with the Vegesacker Ruderverein e.V. (VRV), forming a strong community rooted in Bremen’s maritime sports tradition. Through this partnership, students not only train and compete but also experience German club culture firsthand.

Each year, around 25 students are selected to join the rowing team. Besides weekly outings on the Lesum river, students train in our rowing tank on campus – one of the most advanced indoor rowing facilities to be found in Northern Bremen.

The team competes in 3-4 regattas and races in Hamburg, Amsterdam, and Bremen, and, when possible, organizes a training camp abroad. These experiences create lasting memories, foster friendships, and strengthen both the community spirit and the athletic development of our young talents.

To cover membership fees, trainer costs, equipment, boat maintenance, training camp expenses, and competition fees, annual funding of €20.000 is required. You can support the team as a main sponsor or contribute with a single or regular donation – every contribution brings joy to the rowers and keeps them moving forward.
