Program Activities

At Summer at Constructor University, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a variety of engaging activities and excursions. These activities are designed to complement your experience, ensuring that you have a well-rounded and enriching time on campus.

Social Activities

Our summer camp offers a range of engaging social events that vary each year, hosted on campus and in residential spaces by our student mentors. These events are designed to connect you with other participants and enhance your international summer camp experience. Past events have included arts and crafts sessions, culture nights, movie nights, study breaks, and other relaxed gatherings where you can socialize and make new friends. In addition, we offer daily sports activities such as basketball, soccer, badminton, and volleyball.

Excursions

Participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves in German culture with a variety of exciting excursions. Explore the rich history and charm of cities like Bremen and Hamburg, visit local landmarks, and engage in activities that offer a unique blend of adventure, education, and cultural immersion. From touring local factories and botanical gardens to experiencing iconic sports stadiums, these excursions provide a memorable way to learn about Germany and connect with your peers.

FAQ

If you are a student between the ages of 16 and 18, currently pursuing your secondary education, and eager to get a taste of living and learning with internationally-minded young people from around the world, you should apply to the Summer Camp. It is also suitable for those considering studying at a German or international university.

Applications for summer 2026 will be open soon.

  • No fee is required to complete your application.
  • When you apply, choose your program thoughtfully. You may apply to only one of our Summer Camp programs for high school students per year.
  • Use a desktop or laptop when completing your application. You will be asked to write short essays as part of your application. This may be challenging to do on a mobile phone. Therefore, we advise using a desktop or laptop computer to complete your application.
  • Watch your inbox - we will send you updates regarding your applications as well as further steps. Make sure to always check your inbox and spam folder.

We would like to know which academic fields you are most interested in, why, and your high school grades. Feel free to tell us a bit about yourself, such as your hobbies and any extracurricular activities you are involved in.

Yes, all Summer Camp participants are required to stay on campus throughout the program, except for planned excursions. You will have your own private bedroom, and a bathroom which you share with another student of the same gender. Three meals a day will also be provided for you.

We do not offer early arrival or late departure. If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later from the campus, please contact us via email and we will recommend you the possible options.

During registration days, we will organize pick-up services from Bremen's main station or airport. We will request all travel details at least one week before arrival to arrange and support your campus arrival and departure.

Participants arriving before or departing after the designated arrival and departure dates are responsible for their own transportation to and from campus, as well as any additional room and board costs.

To determine whether you require a visa, please refer to our Visa Information System. The required visa type is the German Schengen Visa, which allows a stay of up to 90 days.

Once you have been accepted and confirmed your participation in the Summer Camp, please review the visitor visa conditions on the German Embassy website. We will provide you with an admission letter to the Summer Camp which you can include in your visa application.

If you have prepared all required documents and depending on embassy appointment availability, the visa processing time can range from 10 days to 8 weeks. We recommend booking a visa appointment as soon as possible, taking into consideration your expected travel date.

  • Cancellation 2 months or more before the start of the summer camp that is being cancelled: full refund.
  • Cancellation 1-2 months before the start of summer camp that is being cancelled: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation within 1 month or less before the start of camp: no refund. 
  • Cancellation due to visa rejection: full refund (please note that confirmation documents from the Consulate/Embassy will be required).
