ACTS 2024 Online

In 2024, ACTS brought together some of the world’s most talented young minds in computer science through both online and onsite camps. The online edition welcomed 101 students from 15 countries, offering a dynamic virtual environment where participants tackled advanced challenges and developed key problem-solving skills.

ACTS 2024 in Romania

The onsite camp, held in Romania, hosted 45 top high school students from 10 countries, all of whom were national Olympiad winners in Informatics. Among this exceptional group, 17 students competed at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2024.

ACTS 2025 in Serbia

We kicked off 2025 with a 9-day winter camp in Serbia, bringing together 42 students from 15 countries. Over the course of the camp, participants experienced 40 hours of intensive coding lectures, 3 challenging IOI-style competitions, and 1 epic Second International ACTS Team Programming Contest.

ACTS 2025 in Kazakhstan

This was followed by a 13-day summer camp in Kazakhstan, organized with our local partner CPFED, where 36 students from five Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan, participated as members of their national IOI teams.

ACTS 2025 in Romania

The last camp of 2025 took place in Romania and brought together 60 outstanding high school students from 14 countries, all winners of their respective National Olympiads in Informatics.

Together, ACTS camps offered a high-level training environment for some of the world’s most promising young coders.

ACTS Highlights
Alejandro Testimonial
"The ACTS was an amazing camp and one of the best events I've ever been in. The teachers were excellent and a variety of lectures, both from competitive programming topics and more general informatics ones, and contests. Besides the academic part, there were several fun activities organized in the great installations we were living in.
For future participants, I would definitely recommend this experience."
Alejandro Vivero, Spain | International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) Gold medal
Eliska Testimonial
"If you want to get gold at IOI, meet a lot of cool people or just win a water gun and compete in rolling toilet paper as fast as possible, the ACTS camp is the right place for you. For me, it might've been even more fun than some of the international olympiads I've been to, because you have the same friendly-competitve environment, but it's less stressful, longer, and has even more activities occupying every part of the day. I've gained lots of new memories and knowledge, and I definitely recommend the camp to everyone else."
Eliška Macáková, Slovakia | International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) Gold medal, International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) Silver medal

“The ACTS Camp in Serbia was the best camp I have ever been to. I enjoyed algorithmic lectures and IOI contests. Also, I really liked having lectures not only about algorithms and competitive programming, but also about cryptocurrency, Kotlin, and Bioinformatics. It was very useful! Besides studying, I played basketball, board games, and participated in fun activities organized by the camp.”
Ivan Osipenko | Cyprus National Olympiad in Informatics 2nd place ACTS Serbia 2025

“The camp was both super enjoyable and educational. We had some great teachers who prepared very nice contests and classes and also a super fun organizing team that made sure we always had a great time. I especially loved the heuristic and team contests, because I feel they made the biggest difference between “just a programming camp” and “a diverse and interesting one”. I am really looking forward to the next one!”
Andrei Paul Iorgulescu | International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2024 Silver Medal ACTS Serbia 2025
Rares Felix Tudose
“I loved the atmosphere and the classes this year – seeing how informatics could be applied to areas such as biology and economics was very cool. The organizers went out of their way to make sure there was always something fun to do, from a bot-writing tournament to IOI contests and advanced (but super interesting) lectures on topics like link-cut trees, matroids, and optimizing exponential algorithms. Can't wait to see what you have planned for the summer!"
Rares Felix Tudose | International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) Gold medal ACTS 2024, ACTS 2025.1
Zsófia Keresztély
“ACTS camp really amazed me by being extremely fun and academically useful at once. I met some very cool people there, who, despite coming from very different backgrounds, have had really similar experiences in life and think very alike. With them, we got to participate in lectures and contests, and prepared together for our upcoming competitions—some of which we’ll even attend together.”
Zsófia Keresztély | European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) Gold Medalist ACTS 2025.2
Mihail Mihalev
“The camp was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. I have never been to such a fun and memorable camp. Not only did I learn new things about competitive programming, but I also made long-lasting relationships with amazing people. There were a variety of lectures and optional fun activities, where I was able to get to know others better. In addition, the location was magnificent, surrounded by beautiful villages and superb nature. All in all, the whole experience was a perfect blend of entertainment, relaxation, and serious problem-solving.”
Mihail Mihalev | Romanian Master of Informatics (RMI) Silver Medalist ACTS 2025.2
