With Europe facing a growing shortage of skilled workers, two forward-thinking universities, Nexford University and Constructor University, have joined forces to create a cooperation that will expand the opportunity for ambitious, high-potential students worldwide to earn a degree and seamlessly transition into careers in Germany.

As a top-ranked private university in Germany with a focus on innovation, technology and entrepreneurship, Constructor University enables students to bridge the gap between research and industry, equipping them with the skills needed for successful careers. This makes it an ideal partner for Nexford University, a U.S.-based online university dedicated to providing accessible, career-focused education. Beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year, students will be able to begin their studies online with Nexford, later transfer and complete them on-site at Constructor's campus in Bremen, Germany. In the participating programs, students will benefit from a streamlined transfer process, as select courses will be recognized by both institutions.

An Online-to-Campus Pathway

Students using this pathway will be able to transfer from Nexford University up to 50% of credits needed for their desired Constructor University degree. This structure enables them to earn a degree from Constructor University while also having the opportunity to obtain a concurrent bachelor’s or master’s degree with additional courses at Nexford University. Designed for ambitious learners worldwide, especially those in regions with rapidly growing young populations such as Africa and the Middle East, the program provides flexibility by allowing students to begin their education at home and transition abroad at a later stage. This approach helps contain costs, ensures a smoother relocation process, and enables working professionals to integrate education with career advancement. Additionally, students transferring from Nexford University will be automatically eligible for partial scholarships at Constructor University, with some also qualifying for deferred tuition payment options.

A Campus-to-Work Pipeline

Beyond academics, the cooperation offers a strong employment pathway for students in Germany and Europe. Graduates of Constructor University are eligible for an 18-month visa in Germany, as the initiative meets the minimum residency requirements for a work visa. The curriculum is strategically designed to equip students with skills that align with European labor market demands. Currently, 78% of Constructor University graduates are employed across Europe, with 70% securing jobs within three months of graduation. Top employers of Constructor University graduates include global corporations such as Accenture, Amazon, Google, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Roche, Ringier AG, Tamedia, and UBS, underscoring students’ strong industry connections and career prospects.

Fadl Al Tarzi, CEO of Nexford University: “We are excited to partner with Constructor University to pioneer a hybrid model of education that is both flexible and employment-focused. Nexford’s mission is to promote an accessible high-level education to learners worldwide, and this partnership will open new doors for learners from regions such as the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, and enable them to gain in-demand skills and integrate into the European job market.””
