Grund zum Lächeln! 20 Jahre Kids & C>O an der Constructor University

A summer to celebrate! “Kids at Jacobs,” the daycare center or “kita” on the campus of Constructor University, unveiled its brand new name Kids & C>O. Plus, Constructor University and Kids & C>O were thrilled to announced that the daycare center will remain on campus through March 2026, a possibly beyond. Finally, Kids & C>O celebrated its 20th anniversary with a joyful summer festival, bringing together families, children and members of the Constructor Campus team.

This year’s summer festival, which was entirely organized by parents, was an afternoon filled with crafts, music, games and refreshments. The heartfelt show of community spirit reflected the appreciation for the center's longstanding role in campus life. Alongside the celebration, there has also been positive progress regarding the Kita’s future. Following several months of ongoing conversations between Kids & C>O leadership, the Constructor Campus team and representatives from the university, the decision has been made to maintain the childcare center in its current location through March 2026 and possibly longer.”

This outcome offers stability for the children, families and staff, while also reflecting a shared interest in keeping childcare accessible for the university community. The long-term future of the Kids & C>O will depend on the broader construction schedule for the campus, but discussions so far have been constructive with both sides expressing a clear desire to maintain close cooperation and explore ways to strengthen the connection between the university and Kids & C>O.

Topics being explored include dedicated spots for children of university students and employees, improved event and facility support and assistance with childcare center's rebranding efforts. Kids & C>O is working on a new visual identity that reflects its evolving role while staying true to its mission.

The university is pleased to see this collaboration developing in a positive direction and will continue to support efforts that benefit families across the campus.

We look forward to sharing more updates in the months ahead.
