Thanks to Constructor, they are ready for success: At today’s Demo Day, Constructor Start proudly showcased startups who recently completed the intensive accelerator program. 15 ideas, 15 stories, 15 exceptional successes – but only one could take home the prize of $100,000. The honor went to Kudu – a startup revolutionizing the world of medical implants by limiting battery replacement surgery. Still, the day proved to be a win for all competitors: Throughout the eight-week accelerator, they worked together to refine their business ideas and acquire new skills. At Demo Day, they all got the chance to present before industry leaders and prominent VCs – a crucial step on their way to success.

"Constructor is building a global ecosystem to support 200+ early-stage tech startups every year with cutting-edge research in fields such as AI, robotics, neuroscience and advanced materials, as well as strong funding and support from 30+ aligned mentors and top industry experts from all over the world.” said Dr. Serg Bell, Chairman of the Board of Constructor and Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors at Constructor university. “Through Constructor Start, founders can receive up to $1 million in funding, including a $100,000 check after Demo Day. They also get access to co-investments from trusted VCs and business angels. With Constructor Knowledge, Capital, and Tech working together, we turn bold ideas into powerful companies that solve global challenges."  The initiative reinforces Constructor Group’s commitment to innovation and success – for the Bremen region and beyond.

An initiative of Constructor Capital and Constructor Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center at Constructor University, Demo Day took place on June 10 in Bremen Vegesack. It provided a stage for young changemakers who are seeking to innovate and build solutions to global challenges – a crucial part of Constructor University’s DNA. 3500 startups from the areas of B2B SaaS, Deeptech, and Edtech applied to be a part of Constructor Start’s 2025 Batch 1. Over 150 participated in a self-paced online program through Constructor LMS – but only 32 were selected to participate in the live online program. They received 1:1 mentoring and an intensive eight-week curriculum featuring topics from customer discovery to team management, legal considerations and marketing. The best 15, represented by participants from 11 countries, were given a chance to compete in Demo Day and bring their ideas to the big stage.

“I particularly liked the mentor matching. My mentor Evgeny Protasenko really helped me come up with a proper way to present a business plan,” said Yuval Shklarsh, CEO and CTO of Kudu. So, what sets Kudu apart? “We are putting patients first. And with our technology, we’re going to make battery replacement surgery a thing of the past.” Instead, the company leverages ultrasound technology to extend the lifespan of medical implants – reducing costs and limiting risks.

Overall, the participants represented a wide array of sectors from EdTech and HRTech to MedTech and Sustainable Energy. The decision who would take home the $100,000 in funding from Constructor Capital Venture Fund was based on the mission and vision of the startups, their product offering, price modeling and scalability, among other things.

Demo Day and Constructor Start are part of Constructor Group’s vision drive advancements in science, technology, and education through its integrated ecosystem, offering education, research, and business solutions. Supported by Constructor Tech start-ups have the chance to win the tools to flourish, from access to Constructor Tech’s advanced research platform CT to discount codes for Nexford's 'From Idea to Pitch' course. QazTwin, the winner of the audience voting process, also won an additional ten hours of mentoring from Dmitry Kurin, Director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center and CEO of the Constructor Start Accelerator. The next installment of the program will start in the Fall of 2025.
