Day 2: June 11th – School Ceremonies & Alumni Traditions

School Ceremonies:

Graduates from the School of Computer Science & Engineering and the School of Science were honored in formal ceremonies featuring:

  • Welcoming remarks by the school deans
  • Faculty reflections
  • Speeches by undergraduate representatives: Matilda Milisavljevic, Carmelina Roig, and Camila Velez Martinez

Traditions Continued – The Alumni Stone Ceremony:

After the ceremonies, graduates received symbolic glass stones from the Alumni Office as part of a long-standing tradition. Each stone was placed into the alumni cone—a custom passed down since 2004—marking the transition from student to alum and symbolizing the connection between past, present, and future generations.

This year's student-made graduation film is more than just a celebration, it’s a reminder that today’s students share the same creativity, drive, and community spirit that have shaped our alumni for generations. Yes, the university has evolved, but the values? They’re still alive and thriving. Don’t take our word for it, we invite you to watch and see how today’s students carry forward the legacy of those who came before them.
