Although three years of study may seem like a long time, it passes faster than you would expect. A bucket list will help you make the most out of your Constructor University years and ensure that you do not miss out on any opportunities. The experiences you will go through will lead to building new friendships, exploring cultures, and creating memories outside of lectures, contributing to a truly memorable university life.

Key Experiences on Campus (What You Shouldn’t Miss)

1. Attend a Cultural Night 

This is a student-organised event where all the different nationalities at Constructor unite and share traditional food, music, fashion, and performances. It is one of the most iconic Constructor traditions and a perfect way to explore different cultures around you. 

2. Join Events like ArtOn and Spotlight 

ArtOn is a student art and design exhibition held on campus. Spotlight is Constructor University’s annual talent show featuring music, dance, theatre, and comedic acts. These are great events to showcase your talents and creativity or support your friends. They will give you a sense of community and enhance school spirit. 

3. Party at The Other Side (TOS) with Friends 

The Other Side (TOS) is the student bar on campus run by students for students. TOS nights are a part of Constructor's campus culture that happen every 2-4 weeks. It is an easy way to unwind after a long week and will give you the chance to meet more people from different majors and years. 

4. Take Part in the Constructor Uni Games 

Uni games is an Inter-college sports event where different college teams compete in football, volleyball, basketball, and many other games. It is one of the most spirited times of year where students compete and work in teams. Whether you are a part of the games or cheering on the sidelines, it is guaranteed a bonding experience with your peers. 

5. Participate in at least One Club or Society 

There are over 50 options of student clubs and societies that you can choose from to join. They can help you dive into new interests, build leadership skills, and connect with like-minded students.

Exploring Beyond Campus 

Day Trips to Nearby Attractions 

Trips that can help you discover the region and add versatility to your student life: 

  • Bremen Altstadt & Schnoor Quarter (historic old town)
  • Bremerhaven (about 45 minutes away by train - maritime museums, a zoo, and North Sea views)
  • Hamburg (1 hour away by train - perfect weekend getaway)
  • Local Parks (Bürgerpark, Knoops Park) 

Attend a Local Bremen Event 

To experience the authentic German culture alongside friends, there are a variety of local events that annually happen in Bremen. 

  • Freimarkt (annual funfair – oldest fair in Germany)
  • Christmas Market in Bremen city center
  • Bremen Musikfest 

So basically, you don’t really have to create your own bucket-list when you can just use this one ;) But of course, if you want to make your own personalized bucket-list, which is highly encouraged, you already have a broad idea of what you can add to it.
